Payments, bKash links and refunds

Every order tracks what the customer paid, what is still due, and what the courier will collect. You can send a bKash payment link for any unpaid portion and refund completed payments.

The payment badges and statuses

In the order list, each order shows a payment badge in the Total column:

• bKash Paid (white) — customer completed a bKash payment.
• bKash Pending (amber) — customer started a bKash payment but did not finish.
• bKash Failed (red) — the bKash payment did not go through.
• bKash Cancelled (red) — customer cancelled the bKash payment.
• Online (the payment method name) — the order came from a sales channel with an online payment (like Shopify paid).
• Cash on delivery or the method name — all other cases.

The badge tells you at a glance whether money has arrived.

Inside an order — the Payments card

The Payments card in the left column of the order shows:

The Due line is the key: it is what the courier will ask for on delivery, never more than the total.

How money flows

Cash on delivery (most orders):

• Customer pays nothing upfront. Due = Total.
• Courier collects the full amount and keeps it as a debt to you.
• When paid (to you or the courier), you record Cash Collected and Due drops to 0.

With advance payment (bKash link or paid at checkout):

• Customer sends ৳X before delivery. Advance = X.
• Due = Total − X. The courier collects the rest.
• Example: Total ৳1,000, Advance ৳300 → Due ৳700. Courier collects ৳700.

Fully prepaid: Advance = Total. Due = 0. Courier collects ৳0 (but still delivers).

Good to know: The courier always collects the Due amount, never more. Omnikyo calculates it automatically as Total − Advance − Cash Collected.

Send a bKash payment link

When a customer wants to send advance payment (or pay the full order before delivery):

1. Open the order.
2. In the Payments card, click Send a link.
3. An amount input appears. It defaults to the full Due amount (what the courier would collect). You can change it to any amount ≤ due.
4. Choose how long the link stays active: 1h, 12h, 1d, 3d, or a custom date/time.
5. Click Create link.
6. A short link appears like /pay/ABC123. Click Copy to copy it, then send it to the customer via WhatsApp, email, or SMS.
7. The link opens a secure page where the customer can pay with bKash. It shows the order number, total, advance already paid, and remaining due.

The link expires at the time you set. A customer who clicks after expiry sees "not payable".

Toasts:

• Success: "Link ready"
• Failure: "Create failed"

Track payment link status

Each link you create appears as a row in the Payments card:

Status meanings for the Status column:

• Live — customer can pay right now.
• Awaiting payment — customer opened the link but has not paid yet.
• Paid — payment is done. The link is done.
• Expired — the deadline passed. Customer cannot pay anymore.
• Opened — (not a status) just counts views.

If a payment is being attempted, you see a spinner and "Trying now — a payment is being attempted".

Refund a bKash payment

If a customer paid with bKash and wants their money back:

1. In the Payments card, click History.
2. Find the payment in the list. It shows as "bKash payment" with the amount and a Refund button.
3. Click Refund.
4. A form appears with:
   • Amount — defaults to the full payment. You can lower it for a partial refund.
   • Reason — why the money is going back (e.g., "Customer requested refund").
   • Use fresh bKash grant token — a checkbox. Leave it off normally; turn it on only if bKash keeps rejecting the refund.
5. Click Refund.

The money goes back to the customer's bKash account. Omnikyo tracks it as Refunded or Partially Refunded in the payment history.

Toasts:

• Success: "Refund completed" + the refund transaction ID
• Failure: "Refund failed"

If the amount is wrong, you see "Invalid refund amount" or "Refund amount is too high".

Payment link failures and troubleshooting

Link creation or use can fail in a few ways:

Cannot create a link: bKash is not enabled or connected. Go to Settings › Payments › bKash and verify the connection first.

Link does not work at checkout: Same as above — bKash is not verified. Test it in Settings first.

Link has expired: The deadline passed. Create a new link with a fresh expiry time.

Customer paid but the order still shows an amount due: Wait a moment — the update may be in flight. Refresh the page. Click the Recheck bKash payment button (a circular icon on the Payment row). This fetches the latest status from bKash.

Limits and rules

• Payment links use bKash's tokenized checkout. They work only if bKash is enabled and verified in Settings › Payments › bKash.
• Each link is unique. The same customer can use the same link many times (though usually only once).
• When a payment succeeds, the link is marked Paid and cannot be used again.
• Advance payment is recorded on the order and affects the Due amount immediately.
• If an order is Cancelled, payment links can no longer be created or used.
