Products report

The Products report shows which products sell best, which are most profitable, inventory health, how many orders are being returned, and whether you have cost prices entered for accurate margins.

What it shows

The Products report has four headline cards, followed by charts and a searchable table. At the top, a yellow warning may appear if products you sell or stock have no cost price set. The report shows each product's revenue, profit, margin, units ordered and stock health. You can expand any product row to see its variants.

The warning: "N products have no cost price"

If you see an amber banner saying "N products you sell or stock have no cost price", those products' margins cannot be calculated correctly, and their stock value shows as Tk 0. The margin figure for the whole page also leaves out products with missing costs. To fix this, use the No cost filter chip on the products table to find them, then set a cost price on each product. See the "Fix products with no cost price" guide for details.

The four headline cards

Revenue card. Shows Delivered revenue (the total value of products sold to delivered orders, with the profit margin as a caption). The Orders button opens those delivered orders. Figures: Gross profit (revenue minus cost of goods on delivered orders), Margin (profit ÷ revenue, %), Units sold, Price a unit (revenue ÷ units), Selling (count of products that sold at least once in the period), and No cost price (count of products with missing cost).

Units card. Shows Units ordered (total items across all non-cancelled orders in the period, with the % delivered so far). The Orders button opens all created orders for those items. Figures: Cancelled (units on cancelled orders, with taka value), Booked (units on non-cancelled orders), Delivered, Returned (with %), On the way (booked but not yet delivered), and Return rate (returned units ÷ booked units).

Profit mix card. Shows Top product (the single product with the highest gross profit, with its name and % of total profit). Figures: Class A, Class B, Class C (product counts with their share of total profit; products ranked by profit, A = top 80% of profit, B = next 15%, C = the rest), A margin (the average margin of Class A products), Profit a unit (total gross profit ÷ units on delivered orders), and Made profit (count of products with any positive profit).

Inventory card. Shows Stock value (available units × cost price per unit, with the count of products in stock). Figures: Runs out soon (items lasting less than a week at current sales pace), Healthy (1 week to 2 months of stock), Overstocked (2 to 4 months), Not selling (4 months or more, or zero orders in the period), Dead stock (in inventory but zero orders all period), and Damaged (quarantined stock by quantity).

Profit waterfall

Shows the path from all units ordered to gross profit: Ordered (all units on booked orders) → Cancelled (units lost) → Not delivered (in transit or returned) → Delivered (units that reached customers) → Product cost (cost of those goods) → Gross profit (what you kept). The bars narrow at each stage so you can see where units are lost.

From ordered to delivered (funnel)

A funnel in taka showing Ordered (total value of all orders), Booked (non-cancelled orders), Delivered (orders that reached customers). The narrowing funnel shows how much value makes it through each stage.

Profit by product (bar list)

The top 30 most-profitable products ranked by gross profit. Each bar shows the product name with the profit %, units sold, and class badge (A, B, or C). Click a bar to open the drill-down and see that product's orders. If you have more than 10 products with profit, the list shows a link to expand and see all of them.

Where profit comes from (pie chart)

Shows gross profit split by product class: A, B, C. Hover to see the count of products in each class and their share of total profit. This matches the "Profit mix" card above.

Margin against volume (scatter)

A scatter plot with units sold on the horizontal axis (wide is better) and margin % on the vertical (tall is better). Each dot is a product, sized by revenue. Four quadrants show different product types:

  • Stars (top right): high margin, sell a lot — your ideal products.
  • Hidden gems (top left): high margin, sell little — could you market these more?
  • Workhorses (bottom right): thin margin, sell a lot — volume keeps them going.
  • Rethink (bottom left): thin margin, sell little — reconsider these.

The dividing line is at the median units sold and the page's overall margin %. Only products with delivered units and a known cost price appear. Click a dot to open that product's drill-down.

All products table

Search for a product by name. Columns:

  • Product (with image and badge): shows A/B/C class, count of variants (e.g. "3 variants") or the SKU if it's a simple product.
  • Ordered — units across all non-cancelled orders.
  • Cancelled — units on cancelled orders; shows a red % badge if 40% or more were cancelled.
  • Delivered — units that reached customers.
  • Returned — units on returned orders, with %.
  • Revenue — product sales value on delivered orders.
  • Profit — gross profit (revenue minus cost of goods).
  • Margin — profit ÷ revenue %; shows no cost in red if the cost price is missing.

Filter chips at the top: All, Class A, Class B, Class C, No cost (products with missing costs), Not selling (zero booked units in the period). Click a product row to drill down and see that product's orders; tap Expand variants to see variants. Only products with booked units or stock appear. 15 per page.

Stock health section

A toggle switch at the top lets you choose: Health (default), Not selling, or Damaged.

Health view. Shows stock by how long it will last at current sales pace.

  • Runs out within a week — buy more soon.
  • Healthy (1 week to 2 months) — normal stock level.
  • Overstocked (2 to 4 months) — excess inventory tied up.
  • Not selling (4 months or more) — dead money.

Each is a top-10 list by units in stock; click a product to see its orders.

Not selling view. Shows products that have not sold anything in the period but have stock (products in the "Not selling" health bucket). Top 20 ranked by cash tied up (units × cost). Click to see orders (though there won't be any in this period). The Not selling chip on the products table also filters to these.

Damaged view. Shows damaged or quarantined stock, top 20 ranked by cost. Each row shows the product name, quantity marked damaged, and cost value.

Returns by value (bar list)

Shows products with the most returned units (ranked by returned units × average selling price per product). Each bar shows the product name and the taka value of returned units. Click a bar to open that product's returned orders in the drill-down. Empty: "No returns in these dates."
