Content pages

Content pages are static pages like About, Contact or Refund Policy. Each one lives at /pages/yourhandle on your store. You write them in a rich text editor, then link them from your header or footer menu in the Designer.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Online store › Pages Who can do it: Owner or manager (the storefront_manage permission)

Create a content page

Go to Online store › Pages and select Add page.

A page editor opens with these fields:

  • Title (required) — placeholder "About us". This is the page heading that shoppers see.

  • Page URL (required) — shows a /pages/ prefix and a field for the rest. Placeholder "about-us". This is the part of the web address after /pages/. It auto-follows the title as you type it (lowercase, hyphens for spaces) until you click the field and edit it yourself.

    • Allowed characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only.
    • Must be 80 characters or fewer.
    • Cannot start or end with a hyphen.
    • Some words are reserved: admin, api, cart, checkout, collections, confirmation, dashboard, index, login, logout, new, null, pages, product, products, search, shop, undefined.
    • If you pick a reserved word, the error says "{handle}" is reserved. Please choose another page URL.
  • Visible on your store (switch) — off by default (draft). While off, only you can see the page. Turning it on publishes the page and shoppers can open it.

  • Link — a read-only line showing the live URL (e.g., https://yourstore.omnikyo.com/pages/about-us). A Copy button copies the URL to your clipboard. An open-in-new-tab button opens the live URL (only if published). If your store is not set up yet, this line says "Your store address will appear here once your store is set up."

  • Content (required) — a rich text editor with placeholder "Write your page content...". Type your page body here. The content is HTML-rendered inside your store's theme. You can use formatting like bold, italic, lists, links, images and headings.

  • SEO title (optional) — placeholder is the page title. This shows in search results (max 160 characters). If you leave it empty, search engines use the page title instead.

  • SEO description (optional) — a short summary for search results (max 320 characters). Placeholder "Learn more about our story and what we stand for."

Select Save. The toast says Page created or Page updated. If it is published, the description says "Your page is live on your storefront." If it is a draft, it says "Saved as a draft — publish it when you're ready."

Edit, publish and delete pages

The pages list shows all your pages. Each row shows the title, the URL (/pages/{handle}), and a badge: Published (live on the store) or Draft (only you see it).

Click any row to open the editor. Edit any field. Save updates it. The toast confirms.

To publish a draft, turn on the Visible on your store switch. To unpublish (take it down from your store), turn off the switch. The URL stops responding as soon as you unpublish.

To delete a page, click the trash icon. A dialog asks Delete this page? "{title}" will be removed from your store and its link will stop working. This cannot be undone. Select Cancel or Delete page. Deletion cannot be undone.

Pages inside a v3 theme

Starting with v3 themes (the Field pack is v3), you can also create pages inside the Designer using page templates. These are called "Pages inside a v3 theme" or "designer pages." They live alongside content pages and share the same /pages/{handle} URL space.

When you are viewing the Pages list, you see both types:

  • Legacy pages — the content pages in this guide (rich text editor).
  • Designer pages — pages built inside the theme using sections and blocks. They show in the separate "Built in the designer" table.

Designer pages have their own structure (sections with style settings, blocks within sections) and offer more design control. If you want to build a page that looks like the rest of your theme, use the Designer. If you want a simple text page, use the content page editor here.

Both types of pages are published alongside each other when you publish the theme, and both must have unique handles (names). The storefront cannot have two pages with the same URL.
