Meta Ads questions

Answers to the questions sellers most often ask about creating, pausing and managing ads in Omnikyo.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Business › Meta Ads › either Manage or History tab.

Can I boost a post on Facebook or Instagram?

No. Omnikyo does not have a "boost" feature for posts. You can create full Meta campaigns in the wizard with multiple ads and targeting, but you cannot boost a single Facebook Page post or Instagram post from here.

To boost a post, use Facebook Business Suite or the Facebook app directly.

Can I pause an ad or campaign from the Manage tab?

No. The Manage tab is read-only — you can see your campaigns, ad sets and ads, but there are no pause or on buttons.

The only way to pause an ad or campaign is to ask OmniAI. Open the OmniAI chat and ask something like "pause the test campaign" or "turn on the sales ads". OmniAI will show you an approval card, and once you approve it, the change happens on Meta.

You need the Manage budgets permission to pause or turn on ads.

Why is my ROAS different from the Dashboard ROAS?

ROAS can show different numbers in different places because each place measures it differently.

On the Manage tab, the Meta purchase ROAS column shows Meta's own number. It is calculated by Meta, based only on purchases Meta thinks it caused. It includes no taka conversion or store profit — it is purely Meta's view.

On the Dashboard, ROAS is your store's total sales divided by total ad spend in taka (including tax and dollar-rate conversion). It counts all orders, not just the ones Meta attributes to ads.

In Reports, ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend. It is similar to Dashboard ROAS but may differ slightly if your store takes returns or has other adjustments.

These three ROAS numbers can be very different. For your business, the Dashboard ROAS is the most accurate because it counts all your sales and includes the real cost you paid.

Does the campaign go live immediately after I launch it?

Yes, absolutely. The moment you click Launch now, your campaign is created on Meta with the status Active, and it starts spending right away. Results start appearing in the Manage tab within a few hours.

You cannot launch as a draft or schedule it for later. If you want to delay, create it but have OmniAI pause it, then turn it on when you are ready.

Can I pick the audience or placement for my ads?

No. When you create a campaign with Omnikyo, the audience and placement are fixed:

  • Audience: Advantage+ (Meta chooses for you). No way to add interests, age, gender or custom audiences.
  • Placement: All placements (Meta puts your ads everywhere it thinks they will work).

This is the only setup Omnikyo supports. If you need custom audience, interest targeting, or specific placements, create the campaign in Meta Business Suite instead.

Good to know: Meta's Advantage+ audience often performs better because Meta's AI finds the best people to show your ads to. Restrict it only if you have a specific reason.

Does tax get added to campaign budgets?

No. Tax is never added to budgets. When you set a daily budget of ৳2,500, Meta receives ৳2,500 (or the taka-to-dollar equivalent).

Tax is added only to the spend numbers you see in Manage, Dashboard and Reports — to show you the real cost you will be charged. The budget itself stays clean.

Is my Meta access token safe?

Yes. Tokens are encrypted on the server and never shown to you after you save them. Omnikyo stores them in a way that even your team members cannot read them. Only the owner can disconnect or refresh the connection.

To revoke Omnikyo's access anytime, go to your Facebook settings → Apps and websites, and remove Omnikyo from the list. Omnikyo will be disconnected immediately.

What does "Results" mean on the Manage tab?

Results is Meta's count of an action it thinks your ad caused. The action depends on your campaign goal:

  • Sales → purchases
  • Traffic → link clicks
  • Engagement → post likes, comments or shares

If your campaign has zero of that action, Results shows the next best thing (for example, link clicks if there are no purchases yet). The exact number comes from Meta's own insights, not from your store.

Results is useful for seeing if your ad is getting any response, but it is not the same as your actual store orders. For real profit data, look at the Dashboard ROAS or Reports.

Why does the History tab show different numbers than Manage?

Manage shows live data read straight from Meta right now. History shows stored daily snapshots from the past, updated once a day at 07:30 Bangladesh time.

The differences you see:

  • Manage is always up-to-the-minute; History data is one day behind (stores yesterday's spend only after the daily job runs).
  • Manage includes tax in the taka amount; History stores raw spend before tax (Reports adds tax when reading it).
  • Manage always shows all campaigns; History can be filtered to exclude certain campaigns (for example, test campaigns), but only in this browser tab session.
  • History rows with zero spend are not stored, so they stay "Not fetched yet" even after a fetch.

These are normal differences. Use Manage to see what is running now, and History for reports and trend analysis over time.

Do I see a campaign right away after I launch it?

Mostly yes, right away. A newly launched campaign should appear in the Manage tab within seconds. However, if it has zero spend in the first few minutes, it may take a moment to appear.

Results (purchases, clicks, impressions) start appearing within a few hours once shoppers begin seeing the ad.

Can I edit a campaign name after I launch it?

Not from Omnikyo. Campaign names are created on Meta, and Omnikyo does not have an edit button. To change the name, edit it in Meta Business Suite.

What happens if I delete a campaign from Meta?

Omnikyo will stop showing it in the Manage tab. If you try to fetch History data, deleted campaigns do not appear. If you had stored History rows for that campaign and then delete it on Meta, those rows stay in your Omnikyo History until you manually delete them with the Delete campaign data button.

Is there a limit to how many campaigns I can create?

Meta has no hard limit on campaign count that we know of. You can create as many as you want, but remember that each one needs a budget, and they all spend. Pay attention to your total daily spend across all campaigns.

Why do some columns on Manage show "—"?

A "—" usually means the number is zero, or it is not applicable to that row type.

Examples:

  • Budget shows "—" for ad sets when the campaign uses a campaign-level budget (not per-ad-set budget).
  • Cost per result, CPM, CPC show "—" when they are zero (no spend yet, or no result metric available).
  • Meta purchase ROAS shows "—" when there is no spend or no purchase data.

A "—" is not an error — it is just "no data to show".
