Payments
How customers pay: cash on delivery, bKash and payment links.
Your store always accepts cash on delivery. You can also connect bKash to let customers pay online at checkout.
Where to find it: Sidebar › Settings › Selling › Payments Who can do it: Anyone with Integrations access (owners always pass).
What payment methods are available
Cash on delivery is built in and always works. When a customer checks out, they choose to pay the courier when their order arrives.
bKash is optional. Connect it in Settings to offer online payment at checkout. Your customer sees both options and picks one. If bKash is not connected or verified, checkout shows only cash on delivery.
Both methods work on your storefront, landing pages, and in-person sales. You can also send a customer a payment link to request payment for an order.
How it works
When a customer places an order, they enter their name, phone, address and choose a payment method. Cash on delivery means they pay the courier when the parcel arrives. bKash redirects them to the bKash-hosted checkout, where they enter their details and confirm the payment. The order is confirmed straight away, and you see it as paid or pending depending on the payment status.
After an order is created, you can send a payment link if you need to request payment — this is useful for advance payments or if a customer wants to pay online after choosing cash on delivery at checkout.
The Payment settings card
On the Payments page, you see two sections: Ways to pay. Each shows available payment methods:
- Cash on delivery is always listed and cannot be switched off — it works without any setup.
- bKash shows a status chip with one of these labels:
- "On at checkout" — bKash is connected, verified, and switched on. Customers see it at checkout.
- "Switched off" — bKash is verified but you have turned it off. Customers see only cash on delivery.
- "Connection failed" — The credentials are wrong or bKash is not responding. Fix the problem in Settings › Selling › Payments › bKash.
- "Not tested yet" — You have pasted credentials but not run a test. Test them first; bKash will not appear at checkout until the test passes.
- "Set up" — You have not entered credentials. Open the bKash page and paste your merchant details.
- Below the status, bKash also shows "Live payments" or "Sandbox: test payments only", depending on which environment you chose.
How to set up bKash
Open the bKash tile and enter your app key, app secret, username and password. Choose whether to use Sandbox (for testing) or Live (for real payments). Save your credentials, then test the connection. Only after a successful test does bKash appear to customers at checkout.
Read Connect bKash for the full steps.
How to switch bKash on and off
Once bKash is verified, a toggle appears on the bKash page. Turn it on to show bKash at checkout; turn it off to hide it. Turning it off does not erase your credentials — they stay saved so you can turn it back on later.
If you turn bKash off, customers at checkout see only cash on delivery.
Where each payment surface lives
- Storefront checkout: On the Payment step, customers choose their method. Both cash on delivery and bKash appear here (if bKash is on).
- Landing pages: If you offer a landing page with an order form, payment methods appear as buttons. Only cash on delivery and bKash are supported; other methods shown in the designer do not work.
- In-person sales (POS) — When you create an order in the New Order modal, you choose the payment method from a dropdown or radio buttons. You can mark payment as received and calculate change.
- Payment links: When an order is created, you can send a payment link from the order details. This is always a bKash link — payment links do not accept cash on delivery.
Questions people ask
Why doesn't bKash appear at checkout even though I have connected it?
bKash appears at checkout only when two things are both true: you have switched it "On" and the connection has been tested and verified. If the status chip says "Not tested yet", open the bKash page, run Test connection, and wait for the success message. The status should change to "On at checkout".
Can I accept both cash on delivery and bKash?
Yes. When both are available, your customer sees both options at checkout. They choose which one they prefer.
Can I hide cash on delivery?
No. Cash on delivery cannot be switched off — it is always available to customers.
What if a customer wants to pay by Nagad or Card?
You can record Nagad or Card payments when you create an order manually, but they are not available at checkout. bKash is the only online payment method at checkout right now. You can accept Nagad or Card offline (customer pays you directly) and record it in the order.
