Where to find it: Keyboard: Press Ctrl + K on Windows/Linux or ⌘ + K on Mac | Click the Search or jump to… field in the header
Open the command palette
Press Ctrl + K on Windows or Linux, or ⌘ + K on Mac, anywhere in the dashboard. The search box opens.
On a phone, press the Search field in the header.
The palette shows your recent searches, available actions, and pages you can jump to.
Search for orders, customers and products
Type what you are looking for. The palette shows results in groups: Orders, Customers, and Products.
- Orders show the order number, customer name, phone, date and total. Click one to open its details.
- Customers show their name, phone, city and courier success rate. Click one to see their profile.
- Products show their picture, name, SKU, variant count and stock level. Click one to edit the product.
You need at least 3 letters to search, or the exact order number if it is shorter. Order numbers match in several ways: #0012, 0012, #12, or 12 all find order #0012. Phone numbers are matched in their normalised form, so any way of typing the number works.
Orders, customers and products are shown in a set limit: Orders up to 8, Customers up to 6, and Products up to 6 (parent products only; variants are found through their parent).
Use search scopes to narrow down
At the top of the palette are scope tabs: All, Orders, Customers, Products, Pages.
Click a tab to search only that type. You can also type shortcuts:
- Type # at the start to search orders only.
- Type > at the start to search pages, settings and actions only.
Press Backspace on an empty box (or click the X next to the scope name) to clear the scope and go back to All.
Jump to a page or setting
Press > to search pages and settings. Or click the Pages tab, or open the palette with an empty box to see all pages you can access.
Pages are grouped by where they live: Dashboard, Orders, Products, and so on. Settings pages show their section name, like "Settings · Meta Ads" or "Settings · Locations".
Click a page to jump to it.
Open a quick action
When the palette is empty or in the Pages scope, you see an Actions section with quick commands:
- New order — create an order by hand (needs the Orders page permission)
- New product — open a blank product in the editor (needs the Products page permission)
- Switch to dark mode — change the dashboard appearance
- Switch to light mode — change the dashboard appearance
Press Enter to run the selected action, or click it.
Navigate with the keyboard
Use the keyboard to move around inside the palette:
- ↑ ↓ — move up and down the results
- Tab / Shift + Tab — cycle through the scope tabs (All → Orders → Customers → Products → Pages)
- Enter — open the selected item
- Esc — close the palette
Recent searches
When you open the palette with an empty box, under Recent you see the last 6 items you opened (orders, customers, products or pages). Click one to open it again, or click its row to put the number or name back in the search box.
Recents are kept in your browser only, so they change if you sign in on another device.
When no results appear
- If the palette shows "Type at least three letters to search names, phones and products", the search needs more characters or a specific order number.
- If it shows "No results for "<text>"", your query did not match any records you can access. Try a different spelling or a shorter phrase.
- If it shows "Search didn't go through" or "Check your connection and type again", the search failed. Wait a moment and try again.
Questions people ask
How do I find an order by customer?
Type the customer's name or phone. The palette shows all orders from customers whose name or phone matches. Then click the order you want.
Can I search for archived products?
You cannot filter by status in the palette. It shows all products, active and archived. If you need to find a specific archived product, use the Products list and filter by status instead.
