Get new order alerts on your Android phone

When a new order arrives, the Android app sends a notification to every device signed into your business, so you can respond right away.

Turn on notifications

Notifications are switched off until you allow them.

1. Open the Omnikyo app on your Android phone (you must have installed it from /download or added it to your home screen).
2. Sign in with your email and password.
3. The app asks for permission to send notifications. Tap Allow.
4. When the next order arrives, a notification appears on your lock screen and in your notification panel.

If you tap "Don't allow", you can turn on notifications later in Android Settings.

What notifications show

Each notification displays the heading with your business name (like "New order · Mashta Clothing"), the order number (like #1245) and the total in taka (like ৳3,450), and the item list with quantity and product name (up to 3 items; if there are more, a "+N more item(s)" line appears).

Turn on notifications in Android Settings

If you chose "Don't allow" and want to turn them back on:

1. Open Android Settings.
2. Go to Apps and notifications (or Apps) › App permissions (or Permissions) › Notifications.
3. Find Omnikyo and tap it.
4. Toggle Allow notifications On.

The label and menu location vary by Android version and manufacturer.

Turn off notifications

To stop receiving alerts without uninstalling the app:

1. Open Android Settings.
2. Go to Apps and notifications › App permissions › Notifications.
3. Find Omnikyo and toggle it off.

You can always turn them back on.

When notifications reach every device

Notifications are sent to all Android devices signed into your business, regardless of the person's role. If three staff members are signed in on three phones, all three get the same notification.

A device receives notifications only after:

• The Omnikyo app has been opened at least once while signed in.
• Notification permission has been granted.

If the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared, you will need to sign in again and allow notifications.

Notifications do not arrive on iOS or the web

The Android app is the only platform that receives push notifications. iPhone and iPad, and the web version in a browser, do not get notified of new orders.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check that:

• You are signed into the Omnikyo app (not just browsing in a browser).
• Notification permission is On in Android Settings.
• The app was opened at least once after you signed in.
• Your phone has an internet connection.
• The business's seller number (the one that receives orders) is correct.

Can I turn off notifications just for this app?

Yes. Go to Android Settings › Apps › Omnikyo › Notifications and toggle off, or disable specific notification channels. Other apps stay unaffected.

What if I mute my phone?

Notifications still arrive in your notification panel and on your lock screen, even if the ringer is silent. To stop them completely, disable notifications in Android Settings.

Does every person at my business get notified?

Yes. Anyone signed into the Omnikyo app on their Android phone will see the notification, regardless of their role (owner, manager, staff). Orders only go to one place, so you may want to coordinate who has the app running.

Will I get notified of past orders?

No. Notifications are sent only when an order is first created. Opening the app later will not re-notify you of old orders.
