Sign-in and account problems
Fix sign-in errors and account problems: invalid credentials, missing confirmation emails, Google button failures, phone number issues, two-step codes, and session problems.
Invalid login credentials
What you see: The sign-in form shows "Invalid login credentials" below the email or password field.
You entered the wrong password, the email is not registered, or the email has not been confirmed yet (if your account requires confirmation).
How to fix it:
- Check that you are typing the email address correctly. It is case-insensitive but must be exact.
- If you forgot the password, tap Forgot? next to the password field to request a reset.
- If your account is very new, check your email inbox (including spam) for a confirmation link and click it. Then try signing in again.
- If none of these work, you may be trying to sign in to the wrong account. Try signing in with a different email.
Did not receive a confirmation email
What you see: You signed up but never received a confirmation email, and the sign-in form shows "Invalid login credentials".
The confirmation email can take a few minutes, or it may have been caught by your email provider's spam filter.
How to fix it:
- Check your email inbox and spam folder for a message from Omnikyo with the subject line containing "confirmation" or "confirm your account".
- Wait 5 more minutes and check again. Emails can be slow.
- If you still do not find it, email [email protected] with your email address and we can help you confirm your account.
Good to know: Not all Omnikyo accounts require confirmation. If your account was created by an owner inviting you as a team member, you sign in right away with a temporary password.
Google sign-in button fails
What you see: You tap Continue with Google and nothing happens, or the form shows an error.
Your browser does not allow Google sign-in (rare), or there was a temporary problem reaching Google.
How to fix it:
- Try again. Temporary problems pass.
- Make sure you are using a recent browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
- Check that you have an internet connection.
- If you have two Gmail accounts, make sure you are signed into the one you want to use.
- If the button still does not work, use email and password instead.
Phone number is rejected
What you see: At sign-up or on the "Add your phone number" screen, you entered your phone and got the error "Enter a valid phone number."
The phone number did not have enough digits, or it included characters Omnikyo does not accept.
How to fix it:
- Use a Bangladesh mobile number: 11 digits starting with
01, like01712345678. - You can also include the international code:
+8801712345678or+880 1712345678. - Remove any extra spaces, hyphens or symbols except the
+at the start. - Do not include country names, letters or anything other than digits,
+,-and spaces.
Example accepted formats: 01712345678, +8801712345678, +880 1712345678, 880-1712-345678
Stuck at "Add your phone number"
What you see: The "Add your phone number" screen appears, you enter your phone, tap Continue, but nothing happens or you get an error.
The server could not save your phone, or there was a problem creating your account.
How to fix it:
- Check your phone number (see "Phone number is rejected" above).
- Make sure you have an internet connection.
- Try again. If it keeps failing after three attempts, contact [email protected] and share your email address.
Two-step code is not accepted
What you see: At the two-step verification screen, you enter a code from your authenticator app and get "That code didn't match. Try the newest code from your app."
The code timed out (authenticator codes last 30 seconds), or you typed it wrong.
How to fix it:
- Try again with the newest code from your authenticator app. Wait until the code changes before entering it.
- Check the time on your phone. Authenticator apps rely on your phone's clock. If the time is far off, the codes will not match. Go to Android Settings › System › Date and time (or iOS equivalent) and turn on Set automatically.
- If you have more than one authenticator app, try a code from another one (if you set up a backup).
- If none of the codes work, you may have lost access to the authenticator app (see below).
Lost the authenticator app or your phone
What you see: Your authenticator app is gone (deleted, phone lost or broken), and you cannot sign in because two-step is required.
The device that stored your authenticator app is no longer available.
How to fix it:
- If you set up a backup authenticator on another phone, use a code from that instead.
- If you do not have a backup, contact [email protected] or ask the business owner to sign you out everywhere (Settings › Security › Team sign-ins › Sign out everywhere next to your name). Then you can sign in again with just your password and set up a new authenticator app.
- There is no way to recover a lost authenticator without help from support or the owner.
"Session for <email> has expired" when switching accounts
What you see: You have multiple Omnikyo logins in the same browser. You switch to another account and get the error "Session for <email> has expired. Please sign in to that account again."
The session for that account timed out, or you have been inactive for a long time.
How to fix it:
- Sign in again with that account's password.
- After signing in, your account is remembered and you can switch between them. The session will last until you sign out or are inactive for a long period.
Signed out unexpectedly
What you see: You were using Omnikyo and suddenly you are at the sign-in screen, or you see "Session has ended."
Your session timed out (you were inactive), or you were signed out by the business owner (Settings › Security › Team sign-ins).
How to fix it:
- Sign in again with your email and password.
- If the business owner turned on automatic sign-out after idle time (Settings › Security › Sign out unused devices), you will be signed out if inactive for the number of days they set (7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days).
