The Orders by status card
The card shows where every order placed in your chosen date range is now, in the order a typical order moves through. Tap a row to see those orders.

The statuses and their order
Orders are shown in the order they move through: New, Hold, Confirmed, Preparing, Dispatched, Delivered, Return Pending, Returned, and Cancelled.
The card counts orders by the status they have right now, not what they were on the day they were placed. The date range filters which orders are included (orders placed in your chosen range), but the status is their current status today.
The bar and the rows
At the top, a single segmented bar shows all the statuses together. Each segment's width is how many orders are in that status. Hover over a segment to see the count.
Below the bar, each status that has orders gets its own row, in pipeline order. Each row shows:
- A coloured dot matching the status colour.
- The status name.
- The order total for that status (hidden on very narrow cards).
- The count of orders.
- The share of all orders as a percentage.
Tap or click a row to open the Orders page filtered to that status only.
The footer: three groupings
At the bottom, three slots sum the statuses into stages:
- Still moving: orders that are in progress. Includes New, Hold, Confirmed, Preparing and Dispatched.
- Delivered: orders that have reached the customer.
- Returned or cancelled: orders that ended in a return, return pending, or were cancelled.
Each slot shows the count and its share of all orders.
Empty state
If you pick a date range with no orders, the card shows "No orders in this period."
The Details button
Select Details in the top right to open the Overview report and jump to its order pipeline section, which shows a multi-day breakdown of the same stages.
Open Orders from the card
Tap a status row, and the Orders page opens with that status's orders. The page respects the filters the card used: orders placed in your date range, shown by their current status. The same status label is passed exactly (Delivered, Dispatched, Return Pending etc.), so the filter applies right away.
Which orders are counted
Orders placed in your chosen date range, in any status except Cancelled (New, Hold, Confirmed, Preparing, Dispatched, Delivered, Return Pending and Returned all count).
Questions people ask
Why doesn't the Cancelled status appear?
Because the database returns only orders in the eight active statuses; Cancelled orders are excluded from the card. The footer calls the group "Returned or cancelled" to name both, but Cancelled orders do not show.
Why does the total not match Orders on the Sales card?
Both use the same date range (orders placed in the range) and exclude Cancelled orders. The difference is the period: the Orders by status card shows orders placed in your chosen range by their current status, while the Sales card counts revenue from the placed date. If you have returns or duplicates, the counts can differ.
Can I see orders from an older date range?
Yes. Change the date range at the top of the Dashboard, and the card updates with orders placed in that new range.
