The Needs attention list

The card shows up to six types of orders that need action right now. It is always live (not tied to your date range). Tap a row to open the Orders page filtered to those orders.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Dashboard › row 3, right side Status: This panel loads independently from the date range and shows live data.

The six rows and when they appear

Each row that has orders shows up, with a coloured stripe on the left showing its severity. Rows are sorted critical first (red), then warning (amber), then neutral (grey), and within each group by money (highest order value first).

The badge at the top

The {n} open badge shows the total count of orders in all rows added together. It turns red when any row is critical, or amber when only warning rows have orders.

Note: one order can appear in two rows (a Preparing order that is also Due to ship counts in both), so the badge count can be higher than any single row's count.

Courier quiet rule

An order is stuck when status is Dispatched and the last courier update was 24+ hours ago, or the courier has never reported. The card counts only orders that have not moved in a full day.

The same rule applies to the Orders list's Quiet parcels only filter, so the counts match.

Empty state

When no orders need attention, the card shows a green tick and says "Nothing needs attention" / "Every order is in a healthy state."

Error state

If the data fails to load, an error message appears with Retry. The card loads independently from the date-range figures, so it can fail while the rest of the dashboard works.

Dates and times

The 6-hour and 24-hour thresholds use the time the order was placed (created) or last updated by the courier (for the courier quiet rule). The "ship-later due today" rule uses your business time zone (default Asia/Dhaka).

What the row value shows

Each row shows the total order value (the sum) of the orders in that category, in compact currency format. If an order has zero value, it does not show in the value column.

Questions people ask

Why does an order show in two rows?

An order can be in Ready but not booked (status Preparing) and also in Ship-later due today (has a scheduled ship date of today). The badge counts it twice because it needs two actions.

Why do my courier updates not appear?

The card reads the courier's last reported status update. If the courier has not reported for 24 hours, the row appears. Some couriers report updates slowly; sync manually in the Orders page to refresh.

Can I ignore an order in this list?

You can, but these rows surface real risk: unconfirmed orders may never confirm; stuck parcels may be lost; returns pile up cost. Checking weekly keeps things moving.

Does the list change with my date range?

No. The Needs attention list is always live, independent of the dashboard's date range filter. Change the date range, and this list stays the same.
