The Courier health card
The Courier health card shows how your couriers are performing right now: delivery rates, return rates, and average transit time over the last 30 days.
The Courier health card shows you how your couriers are performing right now: delivery rates, return rates, and how long shipments are taking. It covers a fixed 30-day trailing window, independent of the dashboard's date range, so even on a one-day view you see performance over a month.

What the card shows
The card is built from parcels handed to couriers in the last 30 days. It counts only parcels that have reached an outcome (Delivered, Returned, or Return Pending), not those still in transit — otherwise a slow delivery day would make your rates look worse.
At the top is a composition bar showing:
- Delivered (green): parcels that reached the customer.
- Returned (red): parcels the customer returned or are being returned.
- In flight (grey): parcels still with the courier, not yet delivered or returned.
The three main metrics
Return rate
The percentage of parcels that were Returned or Return Pending, out of all settled outcomes (delivered + returned). For example, if 100 parcels settled and 8 were returned, the return rate is 8%.
The card turns this metric red when it reaches 10% or above, as a warning that returns are high.
Below the number is a footer that shows:
- "of settled parcels" — the basic explanation.
- Or a change in points (e.g.,
▼ 1.2 pts) if the rate changed from the previous 30-day period. A downward arrow (improving return rate) is green; an upward arrow (worsening) is red. The change only appears if the previous period had a rate above 0% and the move is at least 0.1 points.
Delivered
The percentage of settled parcels that were Delivered. A parceled marked Returned or Return Pending brings down this rate.
The footer shows {n} sent — the total number of parcels handed to the courier in the 30-day window, including those still in flight.
Avg transit
The average number of days from dispatch to delivery, weighted across all couriers by how many parcels each delivered. Shown as {n}d (for example, 2.4d).
This metric reads n/a when no parcels have settled yet (none have reached the customer yet). The footer says dispatch to delivery.
Per-courier table
When you have more than one courier, a table appears below with one row per courier, sorted by how many parcels were sent to each:

| Sent | How many parcels were handed to this courier in the 30-day window. |
| Delivered | The percentage of that courier's parcels that reached the customer (settled only). |
| Returned | The percentage that were returned or are being returned. Shown in red if above 10%. |
How the window works
The 30-day window is always rolling: it covers the last 30 days of courier activity, no matter what date range you have selected on the dashboard. A parcel handed to the courier today and one from 25 days ago are both in the window; one from 31 days ago is not.
The window restarts automatically each day, so the oldest parcel in the window changes each morning.
A parcel's "handed to courier" time comes from when its status changed to Dispatched. If there is no status history (old orders), the order's creation date is used instead.
Comparison with the previous period
The Return rate footer can show a change (↓ 1.2 pts or ↑ 1.2 pts) when the previous 30-day period (the 30 days before these 30 days) had a measurable return rate. This helps you spot if returns are getting better or worse. The change is shown only when the difference is at least 0.1 percentage points, so small natural variation does not clutter the card.
Empty state
If no parcels were handed to any courier in the last 30 days, the card shows:
No parcels handed to a courier in the last 30 days.
This can happen on a brand-new store or if all orders are being fulfilled locally.
Full report
The Full report button in the top right opens the full Fulfilment & Courier report, where you can slice the same data by different date ranges and see more detail about each courier.
