Courier statuses and what they do to your order
Every time a courier scans a parcel, its status text changes in the Courier tab. Some statuses also move the order to a new status (like Delivered).

Pathao statuses (webhook and manual sync)
When a parcel moves in Pathao, the Courier tab shows the status text. When you press the refresh icon (Sync status with the courier), the list below shows the current status.

Manual sync differences: When you click the refresh icon, Omnikyo asks Pathao directly for the parcel's latest status. The labels change slightly: Delivered stays Delivered; any status named "Return" or "Paid Return" changes the order to Return Pending; Partial Delivery changes it to Delivered; all other statuses do not change the order status.
When status text is logged: Intermediate updates (Sorting Hub, In Transit, Will Pickup) write no line in the order log — only milestone events (delivered, partial, returned, failed, paid-return, paid, exchanged) create an activity log entry saying "Pathao marked this order as [outcome]."
Steadfast statuses (webhook and manual sync)
Steadfast sends fewer status types. The delivery_status webhook carries one of five values; the manual sync API has eleven.

Tracking updates: A separate tracking_update webhook message appears when Steadfast sends courier trail events. These are logged in the order activity as "Tracking update: [message]" and the short text is At Hub (if the message contains "received at") or In Transit (otherwise, including "sent to").
Manual sync: When you press the refresh icon on a Steadfast parcel, Omnikyo polls Steadfast's tracking endpoint, which returns one of the eleven values above.
Order log entries for courier events
The order's Activity section logs the major events:

Courier status text in the list view
In the Orders list, under each order's status pill, you see one of three things:
- Awaiting courier — the order is Dispatched but Pathao has not sent a tracking code yet (usually bulk parcels waiting for the first webhook).
- A schedule badge — "Ship today", "Ship tomorrow", "Ship 15 Oct" — if a ship-later date is set.
- A truck icon and courier status — if the courier has sent at least one update (e.g. truck icon + "In Transit").
The status text is truncated to 130 pixels on desktop; hover for the full text.
Important: Which order status changes and which does not
Only these Pathao/Steadfast statuses change an order's own status from Dispatched:
- Delivered (or partial-delivery from Steadfast) → order becomes Delivered
- Return Pending (returned, delivery-failed, paid-return from Pathao; cancelled from Steadfast) → order becomes Return Pending
All other courier statuses (In Transit, At Hub, Pending, On Hold, etc.) do not change the order's own status — the parcel is still Dispatched. The merchant must manually move the order to another status, or wait for a conclusive webhook.
