What Omnikyo sends to the courier, and the limits
When a parcel is booked with a courier, Omnikyo sends specific fields. Here are the exact fields, their length limits, and the timeouts and batch rules.

Fields sent for Pathao
When a parcel is booked (single or bulk), Omnikyo sends these fields:

Validation rules and error messages
Pathao validation
Omnikyo checks before sending:

In bulk mode, orders that fail are skipped and the rest are sent:

The review window also flags a phone number that is not 01[3-9] + 8 digits as Invalid phone. Addresses longer than 250 characters are cut, not rejected.
Batch and timing limits
Bulk submission limits
- Pathao bulk: no hard limit; Omnikyo sends all selected orders in one request.
- Steadfast bulk: maximum 100 orders per batch. Selecting more than 100 is refused with "Steadfast can process up to 100 orders per batch." If Steadfast's bulk endpoint returns a server error or times out, Omnikyo submits the orders one at a time instead (up to 5 in parallel).
Timeouts
Every courier API call to both Pathao and Steadfast times out after 30 seconds. If a booking request hangs, the merchant sees:
- The booking fails with a message saying the call timed out after 30 seconds.
- The order's activity log records Pathao booking failed / Steadfast booking failed.
Rate limits
If Pathao answers a request with HTTP 429, Omnikyo reports a rate-limit error and waits for the time Pathao asks for (60 seconds if none is given) before you retry.
Address and phone normalization
Phone normalization
When a phone number is entered or stored, Omnikyo keeps only the last 11 digits and sends them to the courier. Examples:
01712345678→ sent as0171234567888017123456…→ kept as last 11:01712345678- A number with fewer than 11 digits is sent as is
The review window treats a phone as valid only if it is 01 followed by 3–9 and then 8 more digits, e.g. 01712345678, 01812345678.
Address parsing (Pathao only)
Pathao requires a precise district, zone and area. Omnikyo sends the full address and customer phone to Pathao's parser, which returns the exact IDs. If the parser fails or the address is invalid for Pathao's map, the booking fails: "Could not parse recipient address for Pathao."
Fallback for Steadfast bulk
If Steadfast's bulk API endpoint returns an HTTP 5xx error or times out, Omnikyo switches to submitting orders one by one (up to 5 in parallel) using the single-order endpoint. Invoice IDs are unique, and a duplicate create is reconciled by Steadfast invoice lookup.
