How to read the dashboard's charts and cards
Every card on the dashboard uses the same design: click any label for an explanation, hover arrows show whether figures went up or down, and you can drag across a chart to see individual days instead of totals.
Every card on the dashboard, in Reports, and in OmniAI answers uses the same design to show data. Once you learn how to read one, you can read them all.
Where to find it: Sidebar › Dashboard › any card, or any chart in Reports or an OmniAI answer
The card structure
Every card has three parts:
- Top shell — the card title and any button (like Full report).
- Content area — the chart, ranked list, or figures.
- Supporting info — smaller figures below the chart (called "slots").
The whole card is raised and the content sits in a slight recess, so it reads as a single cohesive object.
Explanations everywhere
Every label with a dotted underline can be clicked to open a popover that explains it:
- The label's full name.
- One plain sentence saying what it measures.
- The exact sum or calculation for this period.
For example, click Sales and you see: All the money from orders placed in these dates, including the delivery fee. {n} orders, {avg order} each on average.
On a phone where there is no hover, a dotted underline is the only sign — tap it to see the explanation.
Change arrows and colours
When a figure has changed from the previous period, a small arrow and percentage appear next to it:
| Arrow | Meaning | Colour |
|---|---|---|
| ↗ 12% | The figure went up | Green if higher is better (like Sales), red if lower is better (like return rate) |
| ↘ 12% | The figure went down | Green if lower is better, red if higher is better |
| → 0% | Nearly flat (under 0.5% change) | Grey |
| New | There was no data in the previous period | Used for all figures |
Not all figures show a change. Only the headline figures (Sales, Orders, Avg order) and some metrics show it. Ad spend, Net profit, return rates and percentages usually show change in points (+1.2 pts), not a percent.
No comparison on today. If your date range includes today (the current day in your business time zone) and it is before 23:00, the dashboard does not show a change arrow because the day is not finished yet. Comparison appears from 23:00 to midnight and on any range that ended in the past.
Scrubbing a chart
On any line chart or area chart, drag your finger or move the pointer across it to read individual days, weeks or months instead of the total:
- The headline figure above the chart switches to that point's value.
- The date or time label changes.
- On a sales chart, both Sales and Ad spend (if shown) change together.
Vertical swipes still scroll the page normally — scrubbing is horizontal movement.
Ranked lists
When a card shows a list of items (like Top products or Courier health per-courier rows):
- Each row's bar (the coloured background) is sized against the largest row, so you can see at a glance which is biggest.
- The share column shows what percentage that row is of the whole list.
- Show all {n} / Show less expands or collapses to show hidden items.
- When a row has parts (like a product with multiple variants), a chevron (arrow) on the left unfolds them. Only one row expands at a time.
Number formats
The dashboard uses English digits and common taka grouping (৳1,200, not ৳12,00):
| Format | Example | When used |
|---|---|---|
| Currency | ৳1,250 or -৳80 | Money figures (Sales, cost, profit) |
| Compact currency | ৳1.2k, ৳1.2L, ৳3Cr | When a figure does not fit its space (from ৳1,000 as k; from ৳100,000 as L for lakh; from ৳10,000,000 as Cr for crore) |
| Number | 1,250 | Counts (orders, items, days) |
| Percent | 76.1% (one decimal) or 80% (whole, above 100%) | Rates (delivery %, return %, margin %) |
| Ratio | 6.00x | ROAS (return on ad spend); always two decimals |
| Days | 2.4d | Transit time and age (one decimal + d) |
When a figure is too wide for its space, it switches to compact form automatically. Hover (or hold on a phone) to see the full number in a tooltip.
Change indicators in ranked lists
In a list of rows, sometimes a row shows a small change next to it:
- Green upward arrow or downward arrow depending on whether the metric is improving or worsening.
- Useful for spotting which product, courier or customer is trending.
Other chart kinds in Reports and OmniAI
Beyond the cards on the dashboard, Reports and OmniAI use additional visualizations:
| Type | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Breakdown (donut or bar) | Parts of a whole (e.g., orders by status). Tap a segment to drill down. |
| Funnel | A series of steps and how many made it through (e.g., shoppers → added to cart → checked out). Highlights the biggest drop. |
| Calendar heatmap | Days of the year with colour intensity (e.g., sales per day). Darker means higher. |
| Gauge | Progress toward a target, like a speedometer. |
| Heatmap | Two dimensions (rows and columns) with colour intensity (e.g., orders by day and hour). |
| Waterfall | How a number grows and shrinks from a starting point (e.g., revenue minus costs equals profit). |
All use the same click-for-explanation and scrubbing rules.
Mobile layout
On a phone:
- Cards are narrower, so ranked lists may show fewer columns.
- Supporting figures may be hidden until you scroll.
- Bottom sheets (popups from the bottom) replace hovering for explanations.
- Charts get enough space to read but stay compact.
Scrubbing and tapping work the same way.
Examples from the dashboard
Sales card
Hover Sales → explanation: "All the money from orders placed in these dates, including the delivery fee. Cancelled orders are not counted." + the sum.
Click the trend line within the Sales card → the headline changes to that day's value.
See ↗ 12% next to Sales → sales went up 12% from the previous period.
Orders by status
Tap a row (e.g., Delivered: 143 orders) → the Orders page opens filtered to only delivered orders.
Hover the Details button → "Open the full Fulfilment report" (a tooltip).
Top products
See a product with a chevron → it has variants. Click the chevron to unfold them and see which variant sold best.
See {n}% of list in the share column → that row is that percent of the total revenue shown.
Questions people ask
Why does a number show "n/a"?
n/a means the figure could not be calculated. Common reasons: Ad spend is missing (Meta not connected or timed out), or a divisor is zero (like ROAS when ad spend is zero).
Why is a popover not appearing?
On desktop, hover over a label with a dotted underline. On mobile, tap it. Not all labels are clickable — only those with dotted lines.
Can I export a chart?
The dashboard itself does not have an export button for individual cards. Reports pages do. If you see a chart in an OmniAI answer, right-click (or long-press on mobile) to save it as an image.
