Who can see and change inventory
Every permission that controls inventory access and what each one allows.

Who manages permissions: The business owner or anyone with Settings › Team access.
Permissions
page.inventory — View the Inventory page
What it allows: See the Inventory page, search stock, filter, sort, view stock history, and view transfer requests.
What it blocks: Making any changes — adjusting stock, receiving, counting, or marking stock unavailable.
Typical access: Owner, manager, warehouse staff.
products.edit — Adjust stock levels
What it allows: Press Adjust on any inventory row to:
- Receive new stock
- Remove lost or stolen stock
- Set count to an exact quantity
- Unavailable (damaged, held from sale)
Also allows: viewing and completing Transfer requests between locations.
Prerequisites: Requires page.inventory to see the Inventory page. This permission alone does not grant access.
Typical access: Owner, manager, warehouse staff.
page.settings.locations — Manage locations
What it allows:
- Create new locations (warehouse, outlet, virtual)
- Edit location name, type, address, and other settings
- Toggle locations on and off
- Set the default location
- Set up channel routing (which source sends orders to which location)
Typical access: Owner, manager.
What staff without inventory permissions see
If a person has none of these permissions, they:
- Cannot see the Inventory page in the sidebar.
- Cannot adjust stock.
- Cannot view locations or change location settings.
If they have page.inventory but not products.edit, they:
- See the Inventory page and all stock data (read-only).
- Cannot press Adjust or Transfer.
- Cannot change anything.
