See a product's stock history

View every adjustment, transfer, and order-driven stock change for a product, with dates and details.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Inventory › right-click a product › History; or open a product's details › Stock movements section

Before you start

History is available for any product. If you are viewing a specific location in Inventory, the history shows only movements at that location.

History is read-only. You cannot delete or edit a past entry — all adjustments create a permanent audit trail.

Open the history

From the Inventory list:

  1. In Inventory, find the product.
  2. Right-click the row or tap the ... menu and select History.
  3. A side panel opens showing all stock movements for the product at the current location.

From the product details modal:

  1. In Inventory, click a product to open its details.
  2. Under Stock movements, press History to see the full list in a side panel.

Read a history entry

Each row shows:

  • Change amount (on the left): a colored number showing how many units changed (+5 in green, −3 in red, 0 in gray).
  • Type of change: e.g., "Manual adjustment", "Order reserved", "Transfer in", "Transfer out", "Return received", "Damage adjustment".
  • When: date and time to the minute.
  • Who (optional): the user who made a manual adjustment.
  • Location (if multi-location): which location the change happened at.
  • Order (if applicable): which order caused a reservation or release.

Tap any row to see more details, including a note if one was recorded.

Filter by location

If you manage multiple locations:

  1. Open the history panel.
  2. The location is shown in the description (e.g., "Stock movements · Main Warehouse").
  3. To see history at a different location, close the panel, switch locations in Inventory, and open history again.

Pagination

History is paginated in batches of 20. The most recent changes appear first. Use the navigation buttons to see older entries.

Good to know: Adjustments from a stock count (mass Set count operations) appear as individual entries — one per product that was counted and changed.

Why history matters

History helps you:

  • Audit: see who adjusted stock and when.
  • Troubleshoot: find out why a product's count differs from expectations.
  • Reconcile: match physical counts to system records.
  • Answer customer questions: show proof of when and how a return was processed.

Questions people ask

Can I see history for multiple products at once?

Not in a single view. Open each product's history separately. To export history for an audit, use the Inventory page's filters and download options (if available) or reach out to support.

Does history show calculations (like Available)?

No. History shows only On hand, Unavailable, and Reserved changes. Available is calculated as On hand − Reserved − Unavailable; it is not stored.

What if two adjustments happened at the same second?

They are listed in the order the system processed them, which is usually the order you made them. If you made rapid changes, they may appear in a different order than you intended; rely on the exact timestamps.

Can I undo an old adjustment?

No. History is permanent. To correct an old mistake, make a new adjustment (e.g., use Set count to correct the current count, which will record a new Adjustment entry).
