Complete reference for every field in a location's settings, what it controls, and its limits.

General

Field	Required	Default	Type	Limits	What it does
Name	Yes	—	Text	1 character minimum, no maximum	The location's label: "Main Warehouse", "Dhaka Outlet". Shows in dropdown menus and reports.
Type	No	Warehouse	Dropdown: Warehouse, Outlet, Virtual	—	Labels the location (warehouse, retail outlet, or virtual bucket). Informational; does not control feature access.
Code	No	Empty	Text	No limit	Your internal code: "WH01", "DHA-OUT". Helps with manual sorting or external system mappings.
Active	No	Yes (checked)	Toggle	—	When off, this location is hidden from stock views and channel routing. Stock data is preserved.
Default location	No	One only	Radio / Label	Only one per business	The fallback for new orders when no channel route is set. Orders created without a specific location land here.

Address & contact

Address fields are optional and informational. They appear on printed documents (invoices, packing slips) but are not validated or required.

Channel eligibility

Which sales channels can use this location for stock and fulfilment. All start checked (true) on a new location. Uncheck a channel to block orders from that source from using this location.

Channel priority (optional, default 0): When multiple locations serve the same channel and no explicit route is set, the one with the highest priority number is chosen. Leave at 0 if you have one location per channel.

Local pickup (if enabled)

When Offers local pickup is on, customers at checkout can choose to pick up from this location instead of delivery. The Pickup time estimate is a promise you show them ("Usually ready in 24 hours"). Leave blank to show no estimate.

Error messages

Toasts
